Hopefully, not the last Pendergast Adventure!
By J Marshall Tuyls
Definitely the best Pendergast adventure, thus far. My grave concern is that the Pendergast saga may end here. Please let this not be so.

Disappointing, slow paced and a et deux machina ending. Basically an unfinished book written to lead you to purchase the next volume in what should have been one book. These arthors have done this before and i dont want to continue down this lead in path.
First disappointment from authors

I absolutely LOVE this series and their other books as well. I’ve read almost everything they’ve written. Together and solo.
I wish I’d known it was TBC like many other reviewers. I probably still would have read it but wouldn’t have been so disappointed. Hope the rest is coming soon…been a really long wait.
This is probably a me thing. But I did not enjoy it.

I have read every single Pendergast book and enjoyed the growth and series immensely. BUT … this book was not my cup of tea. I am not a huge fan of “time travel” books. So reading this has taken so long. I’m still not done. Usually I finish their books in a day or two if I’m busy. It’s been months.
This is probably a me thing. But I did not enjoy it.
Jury’s still out

Very good, well written book with interesting story lines and plot
About the only negative thing is I had to look up a lot of the words (many times just to confirm that I knew the correct — if not simpler — meaning) so I guess it could be said the prose was a good exercise in vocabulary improvement.
Can’t wait for the next installment!

Full of twists and excitement, I loved it and want more!
No finish

This is not a full book. This is just part 1. Better to read it when the second book is finish.

Could not put it down. A most engaging story line that held many surprises.
What a Let Down
By k6vc4c
From the authors: “First: thank you for reading this book. Second: our apologies for what is, at least in part, an inconclusive ending.” It’s not inconclusive; it’s unfinished; it’s half a book. Absolutely nothing ties together, and it reads like a random brainstorming session potentially with mind altering substances involved. Unless you’ve died, why release an unfinished work? For true fans on the Pendergast series, you will be disappointed - wait for the actual conclusion to be released before starting this book .

I would have thought better of these esteemed and well established authors to finish (or half-finish) a book with a sophomoric “TBC”….. I would rather have waited and been treated to the Full Monty at a later date. Now one gets to pony up twice for what should have been one novel.
