A fantastic read!! In a small town in Natchez Tennessee secrets are revealed by an attorney named Penn Cage, once a Texas prosecutor. He is from this small town where their are secrets about a racially motivated murder of a black man by a Judge named Leo Marston, an extremly wealthy man and a rookie FBI agent who is now the director of the FBI who are willing to murder to keep a secret of their sordid past. Enjoyed immensely !! My highest recommendation!!

This is the first book I’ve read of Mr.Illes. It certainly won’t be the last! A new favorite author!

Incredibly well written. Couldn’t put the book down. The character development and plot was exceptional and the authors writing style flowed incredibly well.

Love the characters in Greg Isles books and how so many revolve around his beloved Natchez.

Such a great story. Reminds me of early Grisham, only better.
