Very interesting story

Reads like prose. Capturing an horrific murder in small town America. A true classic. Read it for college, now reading it for enjoyment. Beautifully written for the tragedy that ensued.

The research and the detail that was in this book before the age of computers is amazing

I have read “In Cold Blood” twice. First, in the early seventies, when I could not put it down and read it in one sitting and now in 2022. It has lost none of its punch. Capote’s portrayal of western Kansas in the fifties and his objective look into the motives (or lack thereof) of the murderers is captivating. I believe it is the best crime book ever written.

Long, drawn out and difficult to finish. A real struggle. Very disappointed.

A beautifully-written slog that is unsatisfying and far from thrilling. Innovative for the 60s and tiresome in 2022.

Phenomenal book. Truman Capote truly was one of a kind.
